Fundir acero es uno de los usos de un horno de inducci\u00f3n. Estados Unidos importa m\u00e1s acero que ning\u00fan otro pa\u00eds del mundo. En 2017, las importaciones a Estados Unidos incluyeron acero por valor de 27.000 millones de d\u00f3lares. Los hornos de inducci\u00f3n para fundir acero se utilizan para fundir y crear aleaciones a partir de diversos metales. La p\u00e9rdida de masa fundida es m\u00ednima, al igual que el refinado del metal. El sin n\u00facleo es un tipo de horno de inducci\u00f3n.      <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El horno sin n\u00facleo  <\/h3>\n\n<p>La bobina es fundamental para el funcionamiento de los hornos de inducci\u00f3n de fusi\u00f3n de acero sin n\u00facleo. Esta bobina es una pieza hueca de tubo de cobre muy duradero y de alta conductividad, y est\u00e1 formada en forma helicoidal. Una envoltura de acero mantiene la forma de la bobina, y el calentamiento de la envoltura de apoyo se evita mediante un blindaje magn\u00e9tico. La bobina se enfr\u00eda con agua, y el agua se recircula a una torre de refrigeraci\u00f3n. Unos mu\u00f1ones sostienen el armaz\u00f3n para permitir el vertido.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Rangos de frecuencia  <\/h3>\n\n<p>Un crisol toma forma cuando se empuja un refractario granular entre la bobina y un molde hueco. \u00c9ste se funde con el calentamiento inicial, dando lugar a un revestimiento sinterizado.
